The Aspiring Collection - Care

Innovative yarn spinning technology has resulted in machine washable wool that’s better than ever before. All Aspiring garments may be machine washed on a wool cycle. However we recommend drycleaning your jackets and trousers, primarily to ensure they are pressed correctly.

Jackets and Coats
Drycleaning is recommended, primarily to ensure the garments are pressed correctly. However, it is perfectly safe to wash your Aspiring jackets and coats in accordance with the care instructions.

You’ll find the care instructions inside the right lining pocket. After washing, hang on a jacket hanger which will support the shoulders. Fold the collar and lapel down and do up the top button. When almost dry, iron on a warm setting with steam and use a press cloth between the iron and the garment.

The fact that these garments are machine washable means you can confidently spot-clean them, this is especially handy if you’re travelling.

Jackets and trousers worn as a suit should always be laundered together (either drycleaned or washed) to avoid any shading.

You’ll find the care instructions inside the waistband. After washing, hang on a trouser hanger. When almost dry, iron on a warm setting with steam and use a press cloth between the iron and the garment.

Shirts
There is no need to dryclean your Aspiring shirts, although you may do so if you prefer. Wash your shirts according to the care instructions found in the side-seam. After washing, place on a hanger to dry. When almost dry, iron on a warm setting with steam and use a press cloth between the iron and the garment.

You shouldn’t need to wash your Aspiring shirts each time you wear them since, unlike cotton, merino wool releases odours with airing. Hang your shirts overnight and they’ll be ok to wear again the next day.
